The first Philippine Gunpla Expo was held last February 25 to March 5, 2017 at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium in Pasay City. Various Gundam kits of different grades were displayed all over the area.
Welcoming the visitors at the entrance was the gigantic RX-78-2 display a.k.a Lolo Gundam~ (Granny Gundam)

Inside were other statues and displays of numerous built kits of every grade, limited edition models and an exhibit of Pinoys' original kit bash and scratch built works. --picture spam ahead--

There are also dioramas with which, the Beargguys grabbed my attention, I can't hide the excitement~ I admit, specially the depiction of famous Filipino icons like President Rodrigo Duterte, Ms. Pia Wurtzbach, Manny Pacquiao and Philippine National Police Chief General Bato at Rizal Park setting complete with a jeepney replica!

The expo was for Bandai to sell their products which are Gunpla (Gundam Kits), accessories and building tools. Prices are sold for their original prices except for PGs (Perfect Grades) which are cheaper by almost 20%. Each purchase also gives buyers a choice to choose 1 free item, be it a cool-looking stand, a Gundam IBO weapon or a Gunpla Mobile Suit Clearbook. More pictures below:

Posted at the back of the hall was the History and Evolution of Gundam from the original series where it all begun.

We also brought some of our Gunpla and had a photoshoot with our photographer friend, Essan. My Nobell Gundam and Beargguy P (Pretty) were a bit shy but I'm sure they had a blast meeting their new handsome model friends haha!
